BREAKING NEWS! BREAKING NEWS!
I'M GOING TO BE A BUTTERFLY! MOMMY SAYS SO. SHE SAYS I WILL BE A BUTTERFLY AT CAPITOL HILL LEARNING GROUP STARTING IN THE FALL. SHE ONLY FOUND OUT TODAY. SHE SAYS I SURVIVED A LOTTERY, WHATEVER THAT IS....SHE IS REALLY EXCITED. SHE SAYS I WILL GO THERE TWO MORNINGS A WEEK TO EAT SNACKS, PLAY IN A SANDBOX, AND SHAKE SCARVES TO MUSIC ALONG WITH OTHER CHILDREN....LIKE MY LIFE WASN'T EXCITING ENOUGH ALREADY.

Pimp My Ride

Wheee, this is SO much better than my stroller! I was napping, and when I woke up there was a Kettler Air Navigator with a BELL waiting for me downstairs! Where did this come from? Did the grandparents come and go while I was sleeping? Who cares, let's get this thing to the park! I can't wait to push it around. These things are toddler magnets. I've been trying to pilfer one from the other kids at the playground for weeks. I'm so excited to have my own. And in case you are wondering, I have not morphed into a Teletubby: There is a push-bar for parents on the back of my trike, and the handle only SEEMS to be growing out of my head.

Kisses in the Blossoms

Ahhhh, Daddy is smothering me with kisses!! He and Mommy brought me to see the famous Cherry Blossoms this afternoon. They are everywhere, as are people kissing and taking pictures of themselves in the blossoms. They are beautiful! I LOVE flowers. They are my favorite thing right now. Daddy keeps trying to get me interested in baseballs, but I prefer flowers. They are much prettier, they smell good, and I can tear them apart with my hands. What's not to love?
I'd Rather Be Reading

Yeah, yeah, I know there is a rugby match taking place behind me, but I'd rather be reading. Miss Pat gave me this cool new book about John Deere tractors, and I just can't get enough of it. Tractors do alot of nifty things, like plowing fields, harvesting crops, and saving baby animals. Tractors are much easier to understand than this rugby match, which seems to have no rules.

These Eggs Taste Terrible!

Why are all the kids at church going gaga trying to find these plastic eggs? Everyone else seems to be eating something, but these things taste awful. Not even that helpful to teeth on either. Daddy and I found a green one, a pink one, and a yellow one, but honestly I don't see what all the fuss is about.
In case you are wondering, yes, it is true that I am dressed like a baby chick. Mommy bought me this yellow Easter coat, and thinks it is adorable. For some reason the woman loses it on holidays and parades me around in the weirdest outfits.
What the Bunny Brought

Since I know everyone will ask "What did the bunny bring you?", I thought I'd show you. The contents of my basket include a plastic blue flower, a rabbit train toy, some shiny eggs containing socks, several books about rabbits and chickens, a rotating light-up egg, a bendy rabbit, and best of all, a dancing chicken wearing bunny ears. When you press his wing, he shuffles his feet while singing "The Chicken Dance Song" with a New Jersey accent ("a little fasta now, a little fasta!") My dog Grits kept looking to see if there was something for him in there. Apparently the magic bunny forgot to bring a basket for the doggy this year....
On My Doorstep

I've been back home now for a week or so, and things have been pretty slow until today. Mommy and Daddy woke me up early with some tale about a magical bunny bearing gifts. At first I assumed the grandparents had followed me home--those people have a new present for me daily. But no, some sort of bunny really DID bring gifts. They were in a basket outside the front door, along with a stuffed chicken I'll call Chick-Chick. About time some new toys showed up around here.

The Sandbox

Yuck, what is this stuff! What am I supposed to do in here? I tried to eat it and it tastes disgusting! I don't like sitting in it either. Someone get me out of here! I was having a good time on the swings, and I love the big wooden tractor. I thought the playground at Charlie Daniels Park was a cool place until you put me here. Take me home now!!!

Anything I Want Appears

Hey Gram, give me a push! I can't make this car go by myself. Gram's house is a blast! This is what I imagine Vegas must be like. All I have to do is admire something, and Gram makes it magically appear! I loved the car cart at Kroger's even though the shopping itself drove me crazy. So Gram found me a little car just like the ones at the grocery store. Am I spoiled, or what?

Are we done yet?

When Gram and Mommy asked if I wanted to ride in the car cart while they shopped, I thought it was going to be fun! I got to beep the horn and grab cans off the shelves since no one could see me. But this trip is endless. How much stuff can three adults and a baby eat anyway? I think it's time for my nap, people!

Buttercups for Mommy

Yes, this is me riding my newest tractor toy. (I get a new one everyday around here!) I went out at sunset and rode all over the driveway. There is a slight slope where I can go really fast! When I got to the bottom of the slope, Pop drove up in his truck with buttercups he had picked for Mommy. She loves buttercups and gets some every year for her birthday. One day I will pick buttercups for Mommy.
Visiting with Aunt Joan and Uncle Doug

Look who came to see me today! It's Aunt Joan and Uncle Doug! They took me to church, then out for brunch at O'Charley's. Aunt Joan even shared her chocolate waffles with me. They brought me belated birthday presents too: books and a wooly little lamb! We ate cupcakes, and then I got so tired that I crashed and had to go take a nap. Thanks for coming to see me! You are welcome at my Crib anytime.....

The Bad Hair Day

Whoa, talk about bad hair! I took a long nap this afternoon, and I must have rolled around more than I thought. Maybe Tiggy did this to me as some kind of joke. I don't usually look so shaggy after a snooze. Gotta get this mop under control, 'cause I have a playdate with Olivia Vessel across town in 45 minutes!!!!
